"You Can Handle It" A Pottery Workshop with Dan Finnegan
July 11, 12, and 13
Join us for a weekend workshop exploring the use of handles on pots for the home. We'll start with a slide show Friday evening depicting some of the English country potteries that Dan visited as an apprentice. This is a hands-on workshop and Dan will do several demos throughout the week-end on the wheel which workshop participants will be encouraged to try out. We will mostly focus on pulling handles off the pot, using strap handles on baking dishes and storage jars, and throwing handles for casseroles. In his own work Dan uses handles as both a decorative and a functional element and we’ll talk about other ways to think about making and using them.
Friday 7-9, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10-5
Tuition is $225 including lunches, lodging and other meals available at an additional cost
Register now by calling pottery at (585)554-5463, or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
