2012 NCECA GALLERY EXPO INFORMATION
The NCECA Gallery Expo, Projects Space and Special Exhibits will be held in the Washington State Convention Center’s Ballroom 6-F. This ballroom is located adjacent to the Demonstrator Hall and on the same level as the official NCECA Programming. Information about the Center can be found at: http://www.wscc.com

Pricing
The cost of a NCECA Gallery Expo booth is $2,500. Included in the pricing is conference passes for two gallery representatives. To apply for a space, we are requesting a deposit of $500 to be received by Friday, October 28, 2011. If your gallery is selected to exhibit, the balance will be due January 6, 2012. Deposits from galleries not chosen will be returned by December 10th, 2011.

Booth Description & Expectations
Booth dimensions are 10’ x 20’ x 8’, and include a carpeted floor, 14’ ceilings, 8’ hard walls, high-quality gallery lighting, signage, and a shared “back stock” area nearby for storing replacement work (not for empty box storage). In keeping with the goal of the expo, galleries are expected to display artwork in a gallery-style look. Pedestals are strongly encouraged (a small quantity of pedestals will be available for rent from NCECA). Draped tables are not allowed. Images from 2011 Expo are viewable online at

Shipping and Receiving
Vehicles are permitted at the small vehicle delivery area, but please note, it is one floor down and at the opposite end of the convention center. Galleries may also receive freight or UPS shipments and send return shipments/packages through Fern Expo/Services Company (at an additional charge - information from them to be sent separately)
Schedule/Hours
Galleries are required to exhibit during the entirety of the show hours. Early packing/tear down will incur a fee of $500 per hour of the show.

- NCECA Gallery Membership is required to exhibit in the Gallery Expo
- A nearby room will act as a storage area for "back stock" of pottery only, no empty boxes may be stored in the convention center.
- Space assignments will be based on order of receipt of contract, booth design, & artists represented
- Security will be posted from 6pm until 8:30am every night.
- Electricity to lights only will be provided by NCECA, additional electrical needs must be ordered through facility (expect cost to be between $50-$100) at Gallery's expense
- Phone/Internet must be ordered through facility (expect $500-$1000 for internet, $250-$500 for phone) at Gallery's expense
- Shipping/Receiving services must be ordered through NCECA's decorator, Fern Expo/Services(expect $90-$150 per hundredweight or 90¢-$1.50 per pound) at Gallery's expense. Galleries may also hand carry items into convention center. Dollies or carts are not provided.
- Final layout may change
- Publication deadline for Gallery Guide is November 15th.
- Publication deadline for Program Guide is January 15th.
- We are planning to increase marketing efforts for the 2012 Expo, including growing our collectors list and creating programming geared toward collectors. Galleries who are willing to share their mailing lists will be thought highly of.
- The Conference theme is "On the Edge." Galleries who incorporate that into their display would be thought highly of.
