Cindy Bracker Sturm has had a love for clay since the day her dad inspired her to use her Playdough Fun Factory with potter’s clay and fire her creations in his Salt Kiln. Years later, she still uses an extruder, now to make ceramic windchimes and other musical creations which she now fires in an electric kiln. She has worked continuously at Bracker’s Good Earth Clays for the last 15 years and enjoys the daily opportunity to get to know potters, students, teachers, manufacturers and other suppliers from across the country and even internationally.
Cindy served on the board of the KC Clay Guild as scholarship chair for five years, on the board of the Kansas Art Education Association as Commercial Liaison for three years and as Co-coordinator of the 2008 KAEA Fall conference. She has been involved with NCECA as a commercial exhibitor beginning in 1995, and as a committee member for the 2002 Kansas City NCECA Conference. Outside of the world of clay, Cindy is wife to the most wonderful man in the world, mother to three beautiful daughters, avid Mac user (and certified Apple Support Professional), and lover of Music holding a degree in Music Education from the University of Kansas.
